NPSTC is working with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate, and Defense R&D Canada’s Centre for Security Science (CSS) on a new project to study the use of deployable LTE assets that may be set up within or along national and jurisdictional borders. NPSTC is seeking volunteers in both the U.S. and Canada to work on this project. This Working Group will examine several issues involving utilization of deployable broadband assets, including operational challenges and technical requirements. The work will be divided into several phases: • Use-Cases and Concept of Operations (CONOPS) of deployable systems • Configurations of Deployable Systems • Self-Organizing Network options for deployable systems. Monetti and Associates was a contributing member of this working group who have since wrapped us this valuable work.
